The Warrior Backpack was written by Julie Reynolds and illustrated by her daughters, Sophia and Sloane Reynolds (ages 11 and 9). The book is about a boy named Alex who's struggling with anxiety.  But he has a secret weapon: his "warrior backpack."  He carries this imaginary backpack with him throughout the day, using the strategies it holds to help him calm down.

For 15 years Julie Reynolds worked as an elementary school teacher and counselor while building her private practice. She’s helped hundreds of children who suffer from anxiety. Learning through story (bibliotherapy) is a great way to teach kids how to cope with their anxiety. Julie is passionate about normalizing mental health and helping as many children and families as possible live their best life!
